The stray sounds of
my name on your lips
still knock at my door sometimes
gently, but with a little husk
and yet shaking the walls
of my relinquished memories
making brittle chronicles fall off
the brown ligneous shelves
placed in some forbidden corner
of my rustic vapid heart
turning them into sharp pieces
of broken dreams and hopes
which pierce deep inside
to dredge up the wounds of past
only to remind me
how delusive is my urge
to rush and open the door.

Another master piece how the words of your pieces seem to pierce wounds and describe feelings some didn’t even know they’ve had is simply amazing.

Dear Chhaya,
I loved the part where the broken dreams pierce back to dredge up the wounds. That depicts the intensity, the darkness.
Loved reading it and the emotion was very well crafted.:)

And Sometimes. No matter how loud the call is, we need to remember that some doors are better left locked. Beautifully expressed

We have heard so many poems about so many things… but… we are yet to hear a poem by a poet asking out a poetess… this proves poets are selfish.. šš¤

Your poem was so real…With just a few words you have painted a picture and expressed all the ‘what if’-s of past relationships. Yes, some doors are meant to stay closed but that doesn’t mean we can’t learn from our mistakes and grow.
