Of Love and the Rains

The rains once again
are here to remind
how fervently I loved you
with every bit of my might
falling from the vertex
of boundless soars
touching upon the depths
unbridled and unfathomed
sometimes like a drizzle
soothing and divine
and sometimes like a deluge
ravaging and unconfined
from silent and serene
to loud as a roar
from quiet and calm
to intense like a clamor
I fell on the trees
on the glass and the stones
on the earth and concrete
into the sea and the shores
sometimes I seeped in
through the pores of your skin
and sometimes I slipped
down your edges, slants and slopes.

  1. I loved all of it but the best part for me was…
    sometimes I seeped in
through the pores of your skin
    and sometimes I slipped
down your edges, slants and slopes.
    So so deep….so good❀

  2. And one day…
    I would escape out…
    Of your bounds, away…
From your web of perfect poetry…
    I would escape…
    From your trap of words…
    The words which make me…
    Fall more into your skills…
And one day i would move on…
    From your syllables…
And that day… would be when i am no more…

Never cease to impress me… 😊😊

            1. Oh my ! Thanks, it’s an honour to hear that. While we are all here to get inspired, in the process we never realise that we are also leaving behind our own words and wonderful pieces of art to inspire others…..isn’t it so beautiful ? Hence, just know that you and your writings are already an inspiration to many, including me. 😁

    1. That’s very kind of you indeed to say so. Love is what brings us hope in this terribly hopeless world that we are turning into, I guess. I just want to keep holding on to it. Thanks for the read and the lovely comment, Charlie ! 😊

  3. Truly breathe taking how your work can just grab your reader by the heart and wring out such strong and robust feelings and empathy. I love your reading your pieces they give the gift of inspiration to your fellow creators and readers alike and I’m sure they have birthed thousands of pieces from the sheer emotion that comes from reading your works. It would be an honor to repost some of your works on my Facebook page.

    1. Thanks so much Ellie for the kind words. I am so glad you found my poem worth sharing on your blog. I think you got my name wrong, it’s Chhaya and not John. 😊

You’re a wonderful writer and I look forward to reading more from you.

      Cheers !
