Just a Poem Away

Distance galore
but I know, my love
you are just a poem away
and I can still reach your heart
and touch your soul
as I let the ink flow
from one end of my verse
to another
just like that blue elegant river
which runs down the mountains
carving its path
patiently, yet with desperation
to unite
with the far across sea

And when my verses
merge with your lips
my love
I too would complete a journey
from deep yearning and gloom
to a state of attainment and bliss
